项目概要 (Project description): One of your classmates has been sick for weeks. He was in and out of the school and needed your help to catch up his Chinese studies. So you decided to rewrite your notes and give him your notes as study guides. Since there are too many contents to cover, you and your other classmates then decided that each person make one page (A4 size) of the notes from the Lesson Five - Visiting Friends. To reflect what the teacher has taught in the class and excel your note-taking skills, you all agree that the contents should include characters, phrases, sentences, grammar and/or culture alerts, summarization, and self questioning.
After you handwrite the notes, you also want to convert them into the electronic version, so that you can save and share the file easily. Your teacher is very happy about your conduct. She helps you in many ways to improve the techniques in Chinese note-taking and computer skills. Later, she also encourages you to do the peer evaluation for further improvement.
As a result, you will be evaluated in the following three steps: 1) One page of handwritten version; 2) One page of electronic version (word or excel is preferred); file name is uniformed as “L5-Username”; 3) Your commentary on other students’ work (at least two) on the Wikispaces. 时间进程 (Time table): 12/9/08 (Tuesday)Project rubrics are distributed 12/10/08 (Wednesday)Sign up for the peer commentary (2 classmates/person) 12/19/08(Friday)Submit handwritten project 12/22/08 (Monday)Computer lab time 1/9/2009(Friday)Upload your electronic work to the website 1/16/2009(Friday)Comment on two of your classmate’s work on the Wikispaces 1/21/2009(Wednesday)Your final grade is ready to view 加分奖励(extra credits): In each step’s evaluation, you are able to receive maximum 2 points for your efforts and/or excellent work, which will be decided by your teacher through the entire process.
